Girls Inc. of Tarrant County is excited to be a part of the
new Care Closet at Eastern Hills High School. The Fort Worth Police department
and Eastern Hills High School recruited an amazing team of volunteers who organized the Care Closet last weekend.
A team of 40 volunteers spent the day sorting the bags and
bags of goods and clothes. Our Girls
Inc. girls worked diligently to make sure the selected clothes were clothes a
teen their age would wear. The girls are excited to be a part of the Care Closet and are determined to
make this a success by creating an environment that is welcoming to their
school and community.
Many thanks to Pizza Hut for providing lunch for our dedicated volunteers and to Home Depot for providing boxes for the project. We would also like to thank the Fort Worth PD, the Mental Health Association, and Eastern Hills High School for putting together such a great team.We know our girls are dedicated to making this project successful not only for girls in the school but for the entire community.
One day was not enough to sort through all of the donations
we have received for the Care Closet, so we
have planned another sort day for July 20.
